New Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC): Mandatory from May 1, 2025

В избранное В избранном

Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand will introduce new entry rules for all foreign visitors. From that date, every traveler must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before entering the country. This will become a mandatory requirement for anyone planning to travel to Thailand — whether for tourism, business, or to buy real estate in Thailand.

⚠️ Without a valid TDAC, you will not be allowed to enter Thailand, even if you have a valid passport and flight ticket.

What is TDAC — Thailand Digital Arrival Card

The TDAC is a new electronic arrival form that all foreign visitors must complete before their trip. It replaces the previous paper TM6 immigration card and aims to:

  • Simplify the entry process into Thailand

  • Reduce queues at immigration control

  • Increase safety and monitoring of tourist flows

Who must fill out the TDAC

Starting from May 1, 2025, all foreigners — including citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, and other CIS countries — are required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card before their flight.

Exemptions include:

• Passengers transiting through Thailand without going through immigration control
• Foreigners entering Thailand with a Border Pass

How to fill out the TDAC online

  1. Go to the official website: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home

  2. Click “Arrival Card”

  3. Fill in the form: last name, first name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, visa number (if applicable), etc. Click "Continue"

  4. Provide travel details: date of arrival, means of transport, purpose of visit, address in Thailand (hotel or private residence), etc. Click "Continue"

  5. Fill in your recent travel and health information: list the countries you have visited in the past 14 days (required by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health)

  6. Review all information: a summary will appear — double-check everything and correct any mistakes

  7. Enter your email address: your TDAC will be emailed to you as a PDF file

  8. Submit the form: accept the terms and confirm submission. The TDAC will be generated immediately

  9. Download and save your TDAC: you must keep either a printed or digital version during your trip.

❗ You must complete the TDAC no later than 72 hours before your departure. We recommend applying in advance, especially during high season.

What happens if you don’t complete the TDAC

  • You won’t be able to check in for your flight

  • You may be denied boarding by the airline

  • Immigration officers in Thailand may refuse you entry

Please note: Airlines and tour operators are not responsible if you are denied boarding or entry due to missing TDAC.

Does TDAC replace a visa

No, TDAC is not a visa. It does not grant any immigration status or the right to long-term stay. If you need a tourist visa, LTR visa, or business visa, you must apply for it separately.
